To try to find good homes for the endless stream of animals we rescue, we are holding adoption events throughout the year.
These events also give us chance to educate people about spay/ neuter and promote animal welfare in general.

Next Adoption Booth:
Saturday, 22nd May, 2010 at Bonifacio High St. Opp Hobbes & Landes 4pm - 9pm

CARA's GIFT TO THE ANIMALS

Free rabies vaccines, cat/dog food, collars, leashes, anti mange soap - luxuries these animals normally never experience.

Our activities take us to some of the most depressed areas in the Philippines. Whilst doing these events we see some horrific sights of animal neglect, but at the same time, experience some behaviour that fills us with hope. What a roller coaster of emotions!

Some of the people genuinely care for their animals, however, simply don't have the means to give them a good life - most of them are struggling just to feed themselves!

Beauty shared

We also see some serious cases of neglect, and witness animals being treated harshly. What does it all boil down to? Complete lack of education in animal welfare.
We endeavour to teach people how to care correctly for their animals, to deal with them in a humane way. Giving free products and rabies vaccines is in comparison easy; this is our biggest challenge.

We talk to their animals in a soft reassuring voice, hoping the owners might follow by example -showing there is a different, much kinder way. Lots of animals flinch when we stroke them how sad, they are expecting a harsh hand, not love.
