OUR ORGANIZATION URGENTLY NEEDS ASSISTANCE
We need a facility to perform the spaying and neutering, and temporarily house the recovering strays. At present, our residences are being utilized for this purpose. We need a mobile van to medicate, collect and return strays, and transport medical and food supplies. Finally, we need financial assistance to sustain the spay and neuter programs. Although some vet services are free, medication accompanying these procedures must still be paid for.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly for the long term, we need assistance in educating government officials and the public about more rational approaches to animal control as well as the need to peacefully co-exist with other inhabitants of our planet.
For Veterinarians
CARA appeals to all Metro Manila veterinarians who can help and support us with our Neuter program for the stray animals and less fortunate families with pets. There may be some of you who can offer this service for free or charge us at a cost. If more vets volunteer their Neuter program for free as a charitable service or at subsidized rates, we could create a better environment for both humans and animals. Your help now will show its effect in the next generation. Until we have the funds to open an exclusive Neuter clinic, we need your help and support to control the animal population in Metro Manila and stop the cruelty and killing of unwanted animals and their litters.
