A Visit by Girl Scouts Overseas to the CARA Clinic

16th May, 2012 was a special day for the CARA Clinic!  The USA girl scouts Junior Troop Pi – Jessica, Sofia, Camila, Elena, Samira, Sierra, Carol, Hollie (4th graders at the International School of Manila) with their group leaders Ms Heidy and Ms Monica came to visit! The girls are a part of USA Girl Scouts Overseas that serves American girls living overseas and girls attending American or international schools.

In October last year the girls held a bake sale at their annual Pumpkin Patch and because all of the girls love animals it was a quick and unanimous decision to donate part of the money to CARA.

Among all the cats, the girls all fell in love with Redford, one of the CARA clinic’s most senior special needs residents. So much that they wanted to make sure the money they raised will go towards his care.

It was a special visit for all the girls but particularly wonderful for Jessica and her mom, who were able to adopt “CARAmel”, who is very happy in her forever home!

A big THANK YOU from CARA to the the incredible girl scouts!!
