CARA joins biggest trade show promoting responsible pet ownership Posted on Friday, 20 April 2018
The temperature hit 34 degrees Celsius last weekend but the heat didn’t stop more than 1,000 pet owners and non-pet owners alike from heading to Blue Bay Walk Metro Park in Pasay City for Pet Summit Philippines 2018, the country’s biggest family pet trade show.
The park was filled with friends and families together with their fur babies of all breeds and sizes – from little shih tzus, pugs, and chihuahuas to huge golden retrievers, huskies, alaskan malamutes, samoyed dogs and of course, loveable aspins!
This trade show hosted by Paws and Tails Event Concepts and Management and All4PetsParty.com featured booths from premium pet brands such as Royal Canin, Ezydog, Fur Magic, St. Roche, Crave, Bow House, Vitality, and more.
Attendees got to sample treats from over 50 exhibitors and enjoyed major prizes including sacks of premium dog food from Hill’s Science Diet and an overnight stay at Acuaverde, Laiya, Batangas.
With the aim to promote responsible pet ownership for healthier and happier pets, Pet Summit invited speakers from different organizations and brands like Pet Love that talked about proper pet grooming, Ezydog that shared the dos and don’ts when it comes to dog leashes, and our very own CARA Welfare Philippines Eric Suguitan who shared the story of CARA AmbassaDOGS Ginger, Kimchi, and T-Bone and the organizations’ Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.
Our adoptable rescues, LPB Iris, Tripods Sweetie and Becky, and especially senior dog Koko stole the hearts of the crowd that one little girl just refused to leave him behind. We’re crossing our fingers that they will be reunited soon.
Together with Save All Animals of Love & Light and Animal Kingdom Foundation, CARA Welfare Philippines and Save the Laguna Pitbulls shed light on the plight of abandoned animals and how people can help in their own ways. Anyone can donate, volunteer, foster, or give these rescue dogs and cats their forever homes.
If everyone decides to become a responsible pet owner, no dog or cat will be left behind.
