April was a fulfilling month at CARA. Whether it’s through spay/neuter efforts, community events, or the generous support we’ve received, every little act has helped us continue the mission of building a kinder world for animals.
🐾 New Month, New PAWtner

CARA x Save ALL
We’re excited to share that CARA has partnered with Save Animals of Love and Light! We’ll be working closely with them to plan on-ground activities that will bring more awareness and care to animals in need. Stay tuned!
🐈 Continuing CNVR Efforts
Our Catch-Neuter-Vaccinate for rabies-Return (CNVR) program continued in full swing this April. A total of 138 cats were fixed—80 females spayed and 58 males neutered—helping control the stray population and improve community cat health.
We’re grateful to have ongoing CNVR partnerships with the following communities and buildings across Metro Manila:
Newport Blvd, Dasmariñas Village, Magallanes Village, Manila American Cemetery, Solstice Tower, Circuit Makati, Brio Tower, Trion Tower, Vierra Residence, Brgy. Wack-Wack, Tivoli Garden, Lexington Village, Pacific Malayan, Ortigas and California Garden Square communities, San Lorenzo Village, Barangay Bel Air, Cats of BGC, and Mckinley.
🗓️ Events That Made a Mark

We held a vaccination drive for community cats at Galeria De Magallanes, helping protect our furry street dwellers against deadly diseases. We also set up a pop-up booth at The Hungry Paws—a fun opportunity to connect with fellow animal lovers and raise funds for our programs.
❤️ Big-hearted Donations
A big thanks to our generous donors for filling many furry bellies this month:
Zelyn Ramos, C&K Intertrade Philippines Inc, LBC, Sta Cruz, and Peter Jire. Your donations of pet food help keep CARA’s cats and dogs healthy and full!
🐱 Adopted Into Furever Homes
April marked a new beginning for two lucky cats!

Charlie, a charming Persian ginger cat who was sadly abandoned by a foreigner at Ayala Triangle Gardens, has finally found his new forever home with Michelle Ann Chavez. Despite his rough start, Charlie’s gentle personality quickly won hearts.

Ria, one of our long-time residents who had been patiently waiting for years, is now happily adopted by Alyssa Mendoza. Her story is a testament to the power of patience and hope.
🕊️ Ken’s Case Moves Forward

In a bittersweet update, we share that the Chinese national who kicked Ken, a beloved community cat, has been convicted for violating the Animal Welfare Act. Although the case has not yet reached full resolution and the bail was set at a measly PHP12,000, this conviction marks an important step forward. We will continue to push for full accountability—and justice for Ken.
