June was another meaningful month for CARA as we continued our mission to care, advocate, and spread awareness. From life-saving surgeries to heartwarming adoptions, every milestone brought us closer to a kinder world for animals.
🐾 Consistent CNVR Progress
This month, through our CNVR program, we were able to spay/neuter and vaccinate 189 cats (106 female, 83 male) and 9 dogs (4 female, 5 male). Our ongoing CNVR agreements continue to make sustainable impact in controlling the stray population and keeping communities safer and healthier.
🏡 Happily Furever Afters
We’re thrilled to share the adoptions of two of our cats: Aki, who found his forever home with Raven Ferrer on June 6, and Oliver, who is now loved by Robert Bergeron since June 17. Thank you to our adopters for choosing compassion and giving these cats a second chance.
💪 Braving the Battle Against TVT
June brought hopeful news for two beloved dogs in their fight against TVT.
Tagpi, whose treatment was fully funded thanks to the incredible support we received in May, has completed seven chemotherapy sessions and officially beat TVT this June! Meanwhile, Tottie, a stray taken in from the streets earlier in the month, was also diagnosed with TVT. As of July, he has completed five chemo sessions and is steadily on the road to recovery—thanks to generous donations. Their stories are a testament to what collective compassion can achieve.
✨ Volunteers Unite!
On June 7, we held a General Assembly for our volunteers, both fresh and familiar faces, at the PETA Theater Center—a much-needed moment to reconnect, align our goals, and foster a stronger volunteer community. Special thanks to CIBO for generously sponsoring meals for everyone!
📢 Events and Awareness
CARA was honored to participate in three exciting events this month: the Pet Social Event with Kuna Foundation on June 21, our Hungry Paws Pop-Up booth on June 28, and the CVMAS Week at De La Salle Araneta University on June 30. At each event, we set up booths that not only helped fundraise through merch sales, but also helped us spread our message of compassion and responsibility for animals.
