Adoptions
We understand you care about animals, and it’s hard to see strays. Please know CARA is not an animal shelter. Our adopted pets were rescued by volunteers many years ago. Because of this, please don’t leave stray or sick cats and dogs at our headquarters. Thank you for understanding.
In Case of Animal Cruelty Incidents
The Philippines’ Animal Welfare Act of 1998 protects animals from cruelty and abuse. In case you witness an act of animal cruelty, take photos or videos as evidence then immediately proceed to a police precinct near you to report the incident. Bring a police officer with you to the scene of the animal cruelty; they should be bound by the law to intervene.
We encourage you to take a proactive role in guarding the rights of the animals in our country. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to guide you.
